Prerequisite: ENGL 104, 104F or 204H; Minimum grade C- In this class students examine the many choices they have in developing their own voice and their own style in their writing. Students learn a variety of sentence patterns to make their writing more precise and more powerful. As students gain a comprehensive understanding of grammar, they use that knowledge to choose effective rhetorical patterns for their writing.
