Legal and Ethical Issues in Higher Education Leadership: This course examines contemporary legal and ethical issues from the perspective of their integration into the practice of leadership in postsecondary educational institutions. Students will research a variety of topics, including institutional values and ethical decision-making processes; academic freedom and tenure; ethics in research involving human subjects; faculty hiring, promotion, and dismissal; intellectual property and copyright issues; plagiarism; student admissions and dismissals; and legal issues related to affirmative action and equal employment opportunity.
