A course to acquaint the student with the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Construction Code and supporting reference standards. Students will be presented an overview of the code and will be able to confidently research design and modification issues pertaining to new construction, new use, remodeling, renovations, alterations, and repairs to buildings using the current New York State Building Construction Code. Three class hours. 3 Credits.
