The first course of a two-semester sequence. An introduction to psychology as a natural science. The course stresses the basic methods of problem-solving and accumulating knowledge in psychology, as well as the application of those methods to the following diverse content areas: sensation, perception, physiologocal psychology, human development, learning, cognitive psychology. Particular stress on the contemporary issues in each of the content areas.
