This course will train students in the proper use of RADAR speed detection instruments. The curriculum includes RADAR theory, vehicle and traffic law, court preparation and presentation. Each student will develop skills in calibrating the RADAR equipment and practice speed estimates. Thirty-two class hours. Prerequisite: Must be a sworn police or peace officer. 2 Credits.
