Introduces student to the practices of museums and collection maintenance, based within the nationally-recognized Brauer Museum of Art. Students learn about the duties of the director, curator, registrar, and preparator. Study includes discussion of texts and general museum operations, exposure to careers in art museums, and meetings with professionals in the field. May be used to fulfill the Humanities: Fine and Performing Arts component of the General Education Requirements.
