Introduction to movement for performance. This course focuses on the development of individual creativity through physical expression. Movement fundamentals taught: basic anatomy, stretching and strengthening exercises, somatic practices that develop the breath/movement connection, Laban effort vocabulary and compositional projects which foster an expressive use of theatrical space. Course meets four hours per week.
