A survey of the racial and ethnic structure of American society, with special emphasis upon ethnic stereotyping and power, plus political and economic institutionalized racism and prejudice. Examines how racial and ethnic background influence social behavior. May be used to fulfill the Cultural Diversity course component of the General Education Requirements. Prerequisite: SOC 110 or 275 or consent of the instructor.
