An introduction to how society defines and structures gender identity and behavior for males and females. The course focuses on the biological and social constructs of gender and how those are interpreted through history, language, sexuality, race, family structure, dating patterns, religion, and work environments. Prerequisite: SOC 110 or 275 or consent of the instructor. Normally offered each spring of oddnumbered years.
