A—Drumset Class (1) B—Latin Percussion (1) A—Preparatory: sophomore level in percussion study.Development of performance skills on drumset, including study of jazz, rock, and selected Latin styles. Sightreading instruction and the development of solo techniques. B—Preparatory: sophomore level in percussion study.Instruction on basic Latin rhythm instruments including bongos, congas, shakers and other accessory instruments. Special emphasis on rhythmic patterns characteristic of the various styles.
