This course focuses on gerontological nursing. Theories and various dimensions of aging are discussed. Normal biological aging, attitudes towards aging, health issues facing the elderly, and nursing interventions to promote quality care for older adults will be explores. Service learning activities will promote a holistic understanding of the aging process.
