A study of the application of Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM), robots, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine tools, machine controllers, automatic data capture systems, group technology, and material handling to the design of manufacturing systems. Laboratory experiments provide an in-depth investigation of CAM software and CNC machining techniques. Prerequisite: ME 353.
