Management of the development process, the organizational flow of information, database management concepts, evaluation, selection and strategic uses of information systems as well as security, audit and control of data are discussed. Health care specific case studies will be used, covering topics such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and electronic medical records.
