Prerequisite: OSM 202 or equivalent. This course develops practical business applications of multivariate statistical methods using the SAS software system. The topics to be covered include multiple regression, factor analysis, cluster analysis, multi-dimensional scaling (MDS), and structural equation modeling. The emphasis throughout the course will be on developing proficiency in these statistical techniques and to illustrate their use on actual business data and case studies using the SAS software. Students will be expected to develop proficiency in the SAS software, be able to interpret SAS output, and understand the statistical advantages and limitations of each multivariate technique discussed.
