Prerequisite: OSM 311 or permission of the instructor. A study of the development and implementation of operations strategy in manufacturing and service settings, and the interface and integration of this strategy with other functional areas such as marketing, finance, etc. Topics include strategic perspectives on the design and introduction of new products and services, competitiveness, capacity, quality, choice of process and technology, productivity management and supply network relationships.
