Description:
This course is intended to introduce the student to basic design principles and explores the elements of design through a variety of abstract and conceptual projects that incorporate 2D, 3D and Kinetic design. An emphasis on presentation and communication of ideas will be a focus of this class. Students will also learn how to take and give verbal critique in a structured setting as well as recognizing basic design aesthetics and how they relate to theatre Design. A major final project will allow the student to apply their developed design skills to a given research project.
