This course is designed to provide an overview of the study of juvenile delinquency. In as objective a manner as possible this course will examine the contemporary theories, laws, policy, and practice of the juvenile justice system within the United States. The sociological perspective will be emphasized, however, the interdisciplinary nature of this course will require the use of alternative perspectives from time to time. Pre-requisite SO100.
