Prerequisite: ANTH 101. Recommended: ANTH 326. This course introduces advanced students to the exploration of the history of human disease through the analysis of human skeletal remains. Outcome: Students will be able to demonstrate understanding of pathological and pseudopathological processes in human skeletal tissue, be familiar with data collection, interpretation and etiology of lesions, and place this knowledge within archaeological and historical contexts.
