This course is a practical study of Prosthodontic Dentistry, Periodontics and Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and Endodontics. This course also includes the role of the surgical assistant and the basics of dental implants. Emphasis is on the fixed and removable dental prosthesis, infection process of periodontal disease, knowledge and skills to complete provisional coverage, an types of dental instruments used in each procedure of the specialties covered in the course. This course is designed for students enrolled in the Dental Assisting program.
