A survey of the archaeological evidence for the dispersal of Homo sapiens during the Late Pleistocene epoch (128,000-13,000 years ago). Topics include African origin of Homo sapiens, dispersals into Eurasia, Australia, and the Americas, large mammal extinctions, origins of art, music, and symbolic behavior, and emergence of hunter-gatherer.
