This course is a hands-on study of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) in creating Web standards-compliant sites. Emphasis is placed on the use of CSS to format and position elements in Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and/or Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML) and applying best practices. Students apply CSS concepts and rules of specificity to achieve the design goals of a published Web site by hand coding and using an HTML editor, such as Dreamweaver. This course is designed for students studying web design and professionals updating their skills. This course may be repeated three times to update skills as CSS and Web technologies change.
