This course is an historical and systematic introduction to the perennial problems of philosophy. It focuses, respectively, on four central themes in the following order: God and Religion; Mind and Body; Knowledge and Reality; and Ethics and the Good Life. Each theme is developed through classical and contemporary readings. No prior exposure to philosophy is necessary.
