The emphasis is on critical engagement with readings from the Torah and texts by Aristophanes, Sappho, Plato, Plautus, St. Benedict, Chrétien de Troyes, Boccaccio, Chaucer, Shakespeare, Gryphius, Diderot, Dostoevsky, Proust, Joyce, and Churchill.
