Prereq: 530.101 An overview of the field of mechanical engineering along with topics that will be important throughout the mechanical engineering program. This is the second half of a one-year course that includes applications of mechanics, elementary numerical analysis, programming in Matlab, use of computer data acquisition, analysis, design, and visualization; technical drawing, the design process and creativity, report preparation, teamwork, and engineering ethics.
