Readings, creative projects, or writing projects focusing on a theoretical study of communication. The independent study should normally be completed in one semester under the tutorial supervision of a faculty sponsor. A maximum of six hours from Speech Communication 390, 490 and 491 may be counted toward degree requirements. Not for graduate credit. Prerequisite: twelve hours of speech communication. Special approval needed from the instructor.
