Description:
This course seeks to provide undergraduate and graduate students with the skills they need for writing both short critical essays and substantial research papers on the visual arts. It introduces students to basic research methods and to theoretical approaches that inform writing about the arts. The course is required for art history majors and is strongly recommended for incoming graduate students in art. Partially satisfies College of Liberal Arts Writing-Across-the-Curriculum requirement. Prerequisite: AD 207A,B,C or consent of the instructor.
