Description:
This course will provide an overview of concepts and methodology for conducting tests in the field of aquatic toxicology. Specific topics to be covered include: acute and chronic bioassays, bioac-cumulation tests including biotransformation processes and toxicokinetics, and modeling techniques using Quantitative Structure Activity Relationships and fugacity modeling. This class is recommended for students interested in learning about the applied methodology used in the rapidly evolving field of aquatic toxicology. Prerequisite: Biology 307 and Chemistry 340 or equivalent, or instructor's permission.
