An introduction to the full industrial design process including ideation, consumer safety, environmental impact, and consumer research with an emphasis on human interface issues. Students learn to apply the ID process through a series of specific projects, including participation in a national design competition. Prerequisite: C or better in AD 213 and AD 223. Material fee: $50.
