(University Core Curriculum) This course examines paintings, sculpture, photographs and films representing Native, European, and African Americans. All have represented themselves and been represented by others, in works of visual art from the 18th century to the present. These will be examined within their own historical periods, within the history of art and within the historical development of multicultural American identities.
