Prerequisites: CHM 1045 and CHM 1045L or instructor permission; MAC 2312; MAC 2313 recommended. Corequisite: PHY 2049C. This course covers thermodynamics, kinetic theory of gases, reaction kinetics, as well as introductions to quantum mechanics and to statistical mechanics. This lecture-based course meets three hours a week.
