Indigenous peoples in the Americas have long been dominated and exploited. They have also resisted and reworked the powerful forces affecting them. This course will trace this centuries-long contestation, focusing on ways anthropological representations have affected those struggles. Prerequisites: upper-division standing. (Formerly known as ANRG 143.) Credit not allowed for both ANRG 143 and ANSC 135.
