(Formerly Anthropological Archaeology) As part of the broad discipline of anthropology, archaeology provides the long chronological record needed for investigating human and social evolution. The theories and methods used in this field are examined. (Archaeology core sequence course.) ANTH 3 is recommended. Prerequisites: upper-division standing. (Formerly known as ANGN 181.) Credit not allowed for both ANGN 181 and ANAR 111.
