**Effective Fall 2010** Prerequisites: CE 373 or 382 Applications of principles of solid mechanics to the design of steel, timber, and reinforced concrete members and structures. Emphasis is on basic ideas and their application to practical design of relatively simple structures according to the building codes. Students may not earn credit for both CE 483 and CE 482.
