Prerequisite: ANSC 338 or instructor's consent. Genetic and environmental factors involved in selecting beef cattle, hogs, sheep, dairy cattle and horses. Techniques of evaluating the economically important traits of prospective breeding animals are emphasized. Students will participate in intercollegiate competition. Lecture, two hours; laboratory, two hours.
