Course examines the strategies and tactics of warfare throughout this period and explores how social, economic and technological advances contributed to the distinct patterns of war that characterized the struggles over the past 300 years. Additionally, this course gives an appreciation of the U.S. military establishment in society and the evolution of the military profession.
