A limited enrollment seminar (9 or 18 students) in which students assume the role of United States Supreme Court justices. The seminar entails arguing and deciding cases currently pending before the Supreme Court. Once decided, a student is assigned to write the Court's opinion. Each student is responsible for one substantial majority opinion and perhaps an occasional concurrence or dissent. The grade is based on both the written component (opinion) and oral participation. Attendance at all class meetings is mandatory.
