An introduction to the basic concepts of pathophysiology. Students examine the phenomena that produce alterations in human physiologic function and the resulting human response. Upon completion of this course, students will understand pathophysiological changes, including how pathological process are manifested, progress in the body and primary and secondary effects. Prerequisites: BIOL 211, BIOL 212 and HERS 340. (Grade of "C" or better in BIOL 211 and BIOL 212.) Grade only.
