This course aims to strengthen students' reading and writing abilities in preparation for college-level writing. A means of learning and inquiry, the writing in this class is based on interpreting, analyzing, and critiquing texts, as well as on conducting research, synthesizing sources, and using citation/documentation formats. Prerequisite: qualifying ACT English sub-score or minimum score on the English placement exam or successful completion of ENG 099. Grade only.
