Basic public speaking is the focus of this course. Emphasis is placed on researching speeches, using appropriate presentations. ENG 134 contains two quizzes, a final exam, and four speeches to be given by the student. The speeches include a tribute, persuasive, explanatory, a problem solving address. Applicable English Cluster: Media, Culture, and Communication. The course utilities instructor Curt Smith's experience as a Former White House Presidential speechwriter.
