Though leadership has been recognized throughout history, the study of this phenomenon has grown immensely in recent decades, exploring some fundamental questions, including, “What is leadership?” and, “Can it be taught?” This course will provide you with an opportunity to learn about leadership history, theory and practice by engaging with other leaders, and by analyzing your own experiences. Through readings, lectures, video, and guest speakers, the course will introduce various concepts and models, with particular emphasis on the social change model of leadership.
