Beginning studio practice in oil and/or acrylic media. Students explore basic problems of form and space on a two-dimensional surface using traditional and contemporary methods. Visual analysis of historic and contemporary work is employed extensively in this course and is designed to broaden and facilitate the examination of form and technique in painting. Prerequiste: ART 114 and ART 118.
