Course Description: This course is intended to present a detailed introduction to modeling in the area of viral infection and cancer research. Mathematical and computational modeling approaches will be applied to a general biological system, in the context of the basic principles of immunology and virology, and finally to examples of HIV, Influenza, and cancer therapy based on clinical and experimental measures. Students will learn how to develop their own models of a chosen biological situation.
