A continuation of Problem Identification and Intervention in Counseling I. Students are introduced to additional Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-IV-TR categories, including: dissociative disorders, dementia, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, eating disorders, factitious disorders, and sexual and gender identity disorders. A variety of interventions are considered and opportunities are provided to make diagnostic assessments and construct treatment plans through the use of confederate case clients.
