Engages educators, administrators, teacher leaders, curriculum specialists, and professional development providers in examining the issues related to designing and evaluating professional development. Critically examines research on the role professional development plays in promoting change; the characteristics of effective professional development programs; and methods for evaluating professional development programs and materials. Engages students in designing large- and small-scale professional development programs and in implementing and evaluating professional development initiatives. (Offered: Every spring)
