The seminar this semester will explore a variety of contemporary prose genres to expand the students' vocabulary and increase their familiarity with different prose styles. Among the genres we will read will be the short story, the essay, and newspaper articles. The Friday class will be devoted to conversation and will also include some work in Arabic prose composition.
