Description:

Does God exist? Is time travel possible? Could you survive the destruction of your body? How do you know you are not in the Matrix? Do you have free will? Can war ever be just? These questions are important, and philosophy can help you find the answers. In this course, students will be introduced to the basic tools philosophers use to address these sorts of questions, as well as some of the more prominent arguments that have been advanced in defense of particular answers.
