This 5 credit course is an introduction to the concepts of chemistry for science and engineering students, health professions students, and as a science course for students of the humanities and social sciences. Topics include: property of gases, liquids, and solids; chemical equilibrium, acids and bases; solubility equilibria, oxidation-reduction reactions, and stoichiometry. Students should also register for the lab (additional lab fee will be billed).
