The course covers the fundamentals and impact of air pollution on environmental quality and introduces the process of air monitoring and the design of air monitoring surveys. The course will also introduce the student to contaminant removal devices for specific contaminants, atmospheric dispersion of contaminants, and the process of air quality planning and modeling. Prerequisite: CENG 5370 and CENG 5373 or equivalent or dept. chair approval.
