The nature of the cognitive processes, an analysis of the organization of cognitive abilities, and problems in cognition. Theoretical viewpoints will be explored, including those of Piaget, J.P. Guilford, Ausubel, Lewin, Skinner. A comparison among theories will be made as they relate to the thinking processes. Prerequisites: 9 units of PSYC or consent of instructor and BIOL 110.
