This course presents a working knowledge of the physiology of exercise as it relates to the function of the body in the state of and the adaptations from the application of exercise. Emphasis will be placed on bioenergetics and energy metabolism as well as the contributions and adaptations of the nervous, skeletal, muscular, circulatory, and respiratory systems. A review of testing for adaptation as well as various populations will also be assessed.
